Dyspiety 

The abuse of religious belief to justify harm.

A word I coined to describe that mindset that allows an individual to think he is acting on behalf of God, when he commits an act of violence, or when he discriminates against people he hates.

The dyspiety of the fundamentalist inevitably leads to a backlash against his beliefs.
