Scarp

The act of a juvenile bigfeets beginning puberty carefully removing the bark from a sapling to attract a mate. After puberty the adult bigfeets will return to the area to check for females.

I’ve been waiting by this scarp for weeks and still haven’t seen hair or hide of him.
