DAVE(DD) is an alternative acronym for the neurological disorder commonly referred to as ADHD or ADD. It is a better and more accurate description of what the disorder is, which can hopefully help foster better understanding and support systems for people with ADHD.
ADHD stands for:
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
DAVEDD stands for:
Dopamine/Attention Variability & Executive-Dysfunction Disorder
DAVE stands for :
Dopamine/Attention Variability & Executive-dysfunction disorder
When compared to the acronym "ADHD," "DAVEDD" better describes the how the neurological disorder affects the brain of individuals with it; which allows them to better accommodate individuals with the disorder.
(DAVEDD) does this by stating the root causes of the symptoms instead of just the symptoms.

Teacher: "Hey, friend; I've noticed that you've been having some difficulty with your writing assignment..."
Student: "Yeah, I have D.A.V.E.,which stands for Dopamine/Attention Variability & Executive-dysfunction disorder. To put it simply, my brain cant regulate its dopamine levels well, so, If something doesn't give me dopamine, my brain could not care less about that thing in that moment. Writing is especially hard, though, because you don't get the dopamine until you've finished writing something; making it neigh impossible to write about anything that doesn't interest you.
Teacher: "Oh, okay. Would It help you If we instead had a discussion about the book, and I grade you based on how well-developed your ideas and interpretations are. That way, you needn't write anything down, but I can still make sure that you're cognizant of the subtext"
