The use of irony, only not. Used by some to get away with telling jokes many would not find amusing. Employed mainly by hipsters and the middle-classes.

James: 'Oh no! A black person! Please don't mug me!'
Jessica: 'Hilarious!'

Natasha: 'Oh God, lierony is so fricken annoying'
