A device you shove up yours or someones elses asseses to get a specific readout of how pissed off you/they are at a certain situation.

"I parked too close to my wife's spot in the driveway last night, so I had to give her the old Salty Barometer in bed to check the climate of things cuz she wouldn't tell me why she was pissed off."
