Similar to
greenwashing, the act of adding something to your product, advertisement or TV show to make it gay to make sure you're being politically correct.
The new Token in TV shows is having a gay character or couple, even if the actor is clearly hetrosexual. "Every sitcom I watch has been practicing gaywashing. if they don't have a gay sub-plot, they're just not PC, so they have to add one."
