Bingle

A portmanteau of the terms "bitter" and "single". Indicative of a person who is not in a committed relationship and bitter about their previous relationship's demise, or are longing for a mate and bitter about the fact that they are single.

"Jennifer thought it wise to take her newly bingle friend out for a good bar crawl."
