Writing notes for a speech on the palm in place of using an expensive TelePrompTer. Sarah Palin, Alaska's former governed used one for her keynote speech to the Tea Party on February 6, 2010.
Bill: "What's that on the boss's hand?"
George: "The company couldn't aford a TelePrompTer so he wrote some notes on his hand."
Bill: "The old Alaskan TelePrompTer, eh?"
