Kabuto king effect

When someone buys up a huge amount of something super common and cheap before anyone cares about it, then once people start realizing they want it, the supply is basically gone and the price shoots up. A supply-and-demand spike caused by one person (or group) cornering the market early.
“Bro really hit the Kabuto King Effect on those cards — they were everywhere last month, now they’re sold out and 5x the price.”
