The phenomenon of using an incorrect word, spelled properly, when emailing, texting, chatting, or instant messaging. Sometimes, it is a homonym and sometimes just a word similar in letters and length. Often, this seems to be the result of fingers typing and brain thinking out of sync.

Examples of dysvocabulum include:

"I really blue that one!" (blew)

"Make sure you same your document." (save)
He must suffer from dysvocabulum (D.V.), because he just IMed me to, "Do it the write way."
