noun

An object, graph, or image that has been rotated to deceive the viewer about its true orientation or form.

Unlike the Dutch angle in German expressionist cinema, which is used to evoke unease, a Durkin is used to mislead.

The Tower of Pisa looks upright in that photo! That photo is a right Durkin.
