The study of dorks or nerds. Can be also spelled dorquiology and can be also called nerdiology or geekology.

I am sure that when I study dorkiology, I will find many unique people who are very smart and who find something funny that most people do not find funny.

Spitzer 

If one engages in a wrong activity, confident that one will not get caught, but the activity unexpectedly emerges to the surface and brings the downfall, one spitzers himself.

Johnny spitzered himself when his plagiarism he committed fifteen years ago was caught: he lost his tenure.
