Hoop Knee 

A term occasionally used to describe minor trauma to one's kneecaps, generally in basketball.

The sensation is reminiscent of a knife poking or jabbing your knee rather violently.

Aiden: "Shit, dude, my knees are killing me after that game."
Kris: "You got hoop knees, my guy. That's gotta suck."
