Bathyalgia
The hollow, frustrating disappointment you feel when you are surrounded by people who are perfectly willing to talk, but their conversational frequency is completely incompatible with your mind.
Unlike loneliness (which is simply being sad because you are alone) bathyalgia happens when people are available, but the interaction is so banal, shallow, or transactional that it makes you feel even more isolated.
You aren’t socially awkward or physically cut off from the world; there's no resonance. It is the specific mental tax paid by deep thinkers, creative people, and highly self-aware individuals who refuse to lower their standards or fill the quiet space with mindless yapping.

I tried sitting with my classmates, but after twenty minutes of listening to them yap about wigs and weaves, a heavy wave of bathyalgia hit me and I had to move seats.
Last Summer, I went to a spoken word poetry event, but I couldn't connect with all the fake folks there. The bathyalgia hit me hard. I had to go home.
