sheened sheening is the act of Paint not covering properly. Generally on an exterior wall due to but not limited by the paint being too thin, heavy winds while painting, Temperatures being too high.

Sheen is the base of paint you have the following types of Paint Sheen. Flat, Eggshell, Matte , Satin, Semi Gloss and Gloss.

The higher the Sheen the greater risk of your paint Sheening on you.

Sheened sheening will create an unsightly look to your finished walls. It happens when you don’t have your pressure set correctly. It can happen when you stop your spray and is the most common time to have the wall Sheen which happens due to high temperatures.

Sheening can easily be fixed by spaying another top coat.

In some situations you can add an extender to the paint to slow the process of drying. Sheened
