A third generation, MiG-21 derived, fighter aircraft that was rejected by the Chinese PLAAF and PLAN - manufactured by Chengdu, it is hailed by it main user, Pakistan, as the greatest air combat machine ever - it is not. In fact it is a chronically under-performing machine that is as much of a danger to it's pilots as it is to any enemy.
No self respecting pilot would be caught dead in a JF17 - in fact, flying that thing will probably end in your being dead!
