An aggressively overconfident fool who mistakes physical dominance, popularity, wealth, rank, swagger, or success in one narrow field for universal intelligence and superior judgment.
A jockenius confidently lectures people within their own fields of expertise, regarding knowledge and qualifications as unnecessary because his instincts and social standing supposedly make him right. When questioned, corrected, or denied admiration, he commonly resorts to mockery, intimidation, credential inflation, or retaliation.
