Otherwise known as 'now'. This is the worst current example of over fancy pontificating verbage and is used whenever the use of the single simple word 'NOW' would suffice. Why do they use 5 words when one will do?
At this moment in time, it's Wednesday.

The project may be finished by tomorrow, but at this moment in time I can't see it being completed till next month.
