Barry allen is, in fact THE fastest man alive. When Barry was 11 yrs old, his mom got killed by reverse flash. His dad got blamed and sent to jail. 15 years later Harrison wells created a particle accelerator that gave 65% of central city superpowers. While that was going on Barry got struck by lightning and put in a coma for 9 months. When he came out of the coma he got super speed.
