Slopterm is a slopterm that describes words, phrases, or arguments I don't like or agree with. It can also refer to any criticism that doesn't fit into any of my standards.

Originally, slopterm referred to a word, phrase, or label that has undergone a process known as slopterming, in which its meaning shrinks into a low-effort rhetorical shortcut used primarily to argue in a lazy manner rather than to convey precise meaning. Nowadays, it has since doomed to become the very thing it describes.

Slopterms are characterized by their function as generic buzzwords that may be applied to unrelated subjects. Their usage often shifts from criticism toward dismissal, reducing complex discussions to simplified, toddler-like conflict. Simply a mixture of buzzword, bullshit, and slop.

The process by which a term becomes a slopterm is referred to as slopterming.
“I think your argument relies too much on vague slopterms like 'toxic' and 'gaslighting' without defining what you actually mean.”

“That's just a slopterm you're using to avoid engaging with my point.”
