Short for "Young and tasty" can be used as both and adjective and as a verb, when used as a verb the word refers to the action of looking for "yatty birds".

Eyo 

1. a greeting

2. a strange aggressive chanting sound expressed by males between 10-25. The sound is quick, hard and is often repeated several times, sounding somewhat like the call of a seal. Sometimes males gather in large groups, repeating the word over and over, while bumping into each other.
