The lowest, wholest sounding of the male voicings. Usually associated with the rumbling feeling one experinces when singing with or listening to a choir or chorus.
The bass section of the men's chorus added so much body to the sound.

Tenor

The Higher masculine voicing in choral music. Just above the Baritone. It may be divided into two classifications: Tenor and Countertenor; Countertenor being the highest voicing. Other genres of tenors include the Heldentener and the Lyrical Tenor.
The tenors sang the fifth in the chord at the end of the movement.

Soprano

The highest female voicing within choral music. Usually the bearer of melody.
The sopranos in the choir sang the the melody to all of the carols while the rest of the choir sang the countermelody.

The lower feminine voicing in choral music. Just below Mezzo-Soprano. It can be divided into two classifications: Alto and Contralto; Contralto being the lower of the two.
