Chalga is a definition of gipsy music. There's an enormous difference between chalga and the so called POPFOLK, which is widely spread in Bulgaria. The POPFOLK music sounds more like pop rather than chalga. This difference should be noted, because not all of the bulgarian people listen to gipsy music. The brutal or "hard chalga" as it's sometimes called, has nothing to do with POPFOLK! Even it is hard, some valuable texts could be found in the pile ot scum which these beautiful girls sing.
this is a POPFOLK text, not chalga!
why do we need all this money,
when we have left with no friends,
why do we need all this money,
when our sleep goes away,
we loose our honesty, and even love,
and lonely through tears we lough,
why do we need all this money,
we live more sad than the poor!
the bottle is empty
I order one and it's OK
my heart is empty,
where can I buy a new one?
my heart is sick,
it doesn't love it doesn't hate,
when a man wins
he doesn't know what he loses!
why do we need all this money,
when we have left with no friends,
why do we need all this money,
when our sleep goes away,
we loose our honesty, and even love,
and lonely through tears we lough,
why do we need all this money,
we live more sad than the poor!
the bottle is empty
I order one and it's OK
my heart is empty,
where can I buy a new one?
my heart is sick,
it doesn't love it doesn't hate,
when a man wins
he doesn't know what he loses!
