The belief that words with excessive prefixes and suffixes (e.g. antidisestablishmentarianism) are stupid and don't need to exist.

Bob: These corporations are monopolistically taking over the world
Dave: You mean that the corporations are taking over the world like a monopoly
Bob: Well yeah but monopolistically is a word
Dave: Yeah but it's a stupid word with a prefix and four suffixes
Bob: Why does it matter?
