Metaphoric “lubeless fisting” to accept or receive distinct actions that one knows is hurtful to the person but willfully accepts as part of one’s duties, responsibility, or honor to the larger situation.

It was hard and dirty work but in the end I was IGE’d for the benefit to the larger public.
