Abundance of Caution 

An irritating cliche, basically meaning to be very careful or to make certain of something.

Especially overused during the COVID-19 pandemic by administrators and other high-ups in organizations, but it can be used in everyday situations, as well (see below).
“I feel pretty stoned, but out of an abundance of caution, I’m gonna take one more bong hit.”
