Whenever in a group setting, whether in real life or on the internet, saying "CRY IRL" means that something is making you sad, and you are crying about it in real life, despite not actually crying.

Alex: "OMG, Michelle you are so fat"
Michelle: "CRY IRL!!!!" *runs out of the room sobbing*
