A big beast that looks scary or frightening in appearance but in reality is cuddly and soft as shite on the inside.
Other qualities are frequent lack of cunning or common sense, clumsiness (or often seen as being "unfortunate"), sexy in an unconventionale manner, and childish (in a nive way).

Life is much more fun with a bestione, says Clara.
