At a dinner table, when there's nothing to talk about but the food. (Usually awkward and directionless conversation)
Justin: "How's that steak treating ya?"
Rick: (finishes chewing) "It's good... How's your pasta?"
Justin: "It's good...."
(Awkward silence ensues)
Rick: (Thinking to himself) "That conversation was such food fodder"
