French Defense: Exchange Variation
Also known as: Exchange Variation or Exchange French.
The Exchange French happens when White is unwilling to learn "basic chess opening theory" and decides to exchange the D5 pawn during the French Defense, as doing so will often lead to a draw.
A very common opening blunder for black is called the Suicide Gambit, where black attempts to tie a rope to the ceiling, as they much rather kill themselves than to play the endurance game.
