obliverse

The obligation to converse with those with whom you'd rather not, but must, during social gatherings. Frequently an activity that takes place during the obligatory company holiday party (often spouses and significant others are cursed with having to engage in this activity).
I hope I don't have to stand there and obliverse with your boss all night at this year's Christmas Party; he's such a bore.
