A phenomenon of popular culture, usually a song, that immediately and substantially elevates the mood of all women who find themselves experiencing it. The effect is stronger at night, and magnified when mixed with alcohol.

"Like a Prayer," by Madonna, is girl crack, as is "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
