Acronym for “Bigotry of Low Expectations.” Refers to the attitude of assuming a particular group, mostly minorities, is incapable of meeting basic standards or responsibilities, often under the guise of sympathy or protection.
Mostly something liberals do.

“Arguing that requiring photo ID to vote is automatically racist because certain groups supposedly can’t afford ID feels like pure bolex.”
