American Ramadan
Used primarily within the Department of Defense of the United States of America. A term encompassing the period between the weekend before Thanksgiving until the Monday after New Year's . It is derived from the fact that garrison military operations substantially slow down to a virtual halt between this period, making it a de facto taboo to schedule major events between it, generally only broken by those looking to step on their fellow men for a promotion or award
