Breakup Amnesia
A highly selective form of memory loss that occurs when someone breaks up with you, regrets losing access to you, and suddenly reappears acting like the entire breakup was just a minor technical glitch.
Common symptoms include daily texts, casual flirting, random "I miss you" messages, and the sudden belief that getting back together requires absolutely no apology, accountability, or emotional growth.
The affected individual remembers how to text you, how to flirt with you, and exactly what they miss about you — but mysteriously forgets why the relationship ended, who ended it, and the emotional damage they caused.

Girl: "He broke up with me after an argument, and now he's texting me every day saying we should try again. He hasn't even apologized."
Friend: "Girl, that's textbook breakup amnesia. He remembers your number but forgot his accountability."
