Grgo

Grgo is a short name and a variation of other common names such as Grgur and Grga, which are more common today. But there was a reason for the shortening and the smallest of vowel changes and that change is to emphasize simplicity and prominent male prowess. The name Grgur was given senior more powerful members of the clergy while the Grga variation of it came popular use much later on amongst lower members and some newly inducted members of the roman chaotlic church. Due to growing secularism but still very much ingrained religious life, common populace started giving it to their male children but avoiding what would be considered sacrilege. As the secularism grew and grew through each new generation, the name went out of practice for the most part but like many names, still finds itself given here and there.
