Anu,(Akkadian: 𒀭𒀭AN), also called An (Sumerian: AN, from a “Sky”, “Heaven”), is the divine personification of the sky, supreme god, and ancestor of all the deities in ancient Mesopotamian religion.
To Anu was assigned the control of the heavens, to Bel the earth, and to Ea the waters.
