Termination of an product or feature, especially if it's uneconomical or should be obsolete by the time. The origin is from Steve Jobs's return to Apple as interim CEO (and later permanent iCEO).
Floppy drives, SCSI, and legacy serial ports were all steved with the release of the original iMac. Apple-branded printers, Newton PDA's, and Easter Eggs within the Mac OS were also steved.
