"Drrrrrrrrth" is the sound a cricket makes in a really awkward, normally silent moment when someone has said something that isn't funny or is just plain stupid.

"...and then the chicken crossed the road. Ha ha. Get it?"
Silence.
Response: "Drrrrrrrrrrth".
