A type of seaweed commonly found in South America and East Asia. It is used as a drug in many medicines by some tribes in South America. In summer, when it is harvested, tribe members will come down to the beach chanting. They believe that doing so will wake up the Sea Gods and give them permission to harvest it. Once harvested, cilso is then boiled in a pot so the drug particals are extracted. The seaweed is then thrown away, and the boiled water containing the drug is then added to their medicine. Cilso can help with headaches and infected livers.
