SAWAS is an acronym for: Swords and Wizards and Shit - a term used to describe movies, games, etc. that feature medieval fantasy style settings and characters. Space movies with Swords is not SAWAS, nor is fantasy with guns. SAWAS is focused only on swords and wizards and shit.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the most famous of the SAWAS movies, but the original Conan the Barbarian is the best.
