bases

You start out at home plate. Then, the ball is pitched to you, run to 1st base followed by 3rd base and then home plate again. Those are the bases.

guy1:"I was at first base. Then i was at second base. Then i was at third base. Then i was at home plate. So that means that i ran all of the bases."
guy2:"Wow! That's really informational!"
