A type of hip-hop generally associted with skating videos/video games. Typically focuses more on rap and lyrical fluency than other genres. Definitive artists are: Hieroglyphics, Gym Class Heroes, and Sage Francis.

The new Tony Hawk game has some pretty tight Skate-Hop tracks on it.
