When you notice that someone has purchased an extremely tacky, often expensive accessory or piece of clothing and you ask yourself, "Why the hell did they buy that?". These items tend to not fit the buyer's personality at all and can be seen from a mile away.
When I saw James wearing his hipster glasses at the football game, I told him that they were a major whybuy.
