zhug

Pronounced zuh-KHOOHG, with a raspy "KH" like the "ch" in "chutzpah", zhug is a fiery red or green paste made with chili peppers used as a condiment by Yemenite Jews. Tastes great with scrambled eggs!
Try some zhug with your pitas bread, Nat. It's delicious!
