(interj.) A portmanteau of "wow" and "cowabunga". Used to express one's reaction to something that is both surprising and awesome.

An expression used to accept a challenge, wage war or defend one's honor by unspecified but extreme/chaotic measures.
In all instances it is a simple way of indicating that come what may, your decision is set in stone.

Her: If you don't pause your game right now, we're breaking up.
Me: Cowabunga it is.

kowabunga

This was a term used by Chief Thunderthud on the Howdy Doody show in the fifties. It was picked up by surfers in southern California in the late fifties, then skateboarders. Not Swahili, not Hawaiin, not Mutant Ninja Turtles - Howdy Doody.

(exclamation): Originating as a greeting by Chief Thunderthud (the only Indian ever to have a moustache) to the Peanut Gallery on the 50's television program "The Howdy Doody Show", the term was later adopted by surfers in the 60's.
