wipegrade

Similar to an 'upgrade,' a wipegrade is an update (usually of a piece of software) that involves a partial or complete removal of the existing system.

In computer programming and operating systems, a wipegrade is sometimes necessary.
Person 1: I downloaded too many viruses and I can't get rid of them, Will updating my operating system help?

Person 2: Nah, just wipegrade it.
