a breakfast specialty shaped as a rectangular waffle, but without the ridges of a waffle. In other words, a square pancake.

Hmmm... I can't decide what to eat for breakfast this morning. I could go for a waffle, or perhaps a pancake. Say! I know. I'll eat a wancake.

We were out of pancake mix so we made pancakes out of waffle mix, and invented wancakes
