trancer

A term used in some works of science fiction, most frequently in the cyberpunk genre.
Used to refer to someone who spends all of their time in virtual reality, often to the point of actually forgetting their real life outside of their simulations.
Sometimes used as a derogatory term for video game addicts of today.

Josh is a trancer. Guy barely remembers who he is sometimes, much less where or when he is.
