themansplaining

The practice of a historically empowered group telling a historically disempowered group, often in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing, what they should worry about, what they should do or even what they should be called because the empowered group think they care and know better instead of asking the disempowered group what they actually want to worry about, do or even be called.
“I live in a high crime area and people in the safe suburbs keep themansplaining to me how I should defund the police that, while not perfect, protect me.”

theresaplaining

When a speaker tries to avoid a question by uttering some childish remark and then to follow this up with a smirk, a jab of the finger and an endless series of meaningless and utterly confusing sound bites.
The Prime Minister spent most of question time in parliament theresaplaining.

theysplaining

When a non-binary person is doing the equivalent to mansplaining.
Person A: Ugh, they're mansplaining feminism to me on twitter.
Person B: Hey! They're non-binary! Did you mean theysplaining?

terfsplaining

When a terf or gc(gender critical) individual explains how transgender individuals transition works, even when trans people almost always know more about transitioning. It's almost all done out of ignorance and joking in an echo chamber that terfs have created.
Terf: "you will always be a woman even if you cut off your dick for a rot pocket"
Trans woman:" stop terfsplaining to me and open google"

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"
